MultiBase 2072i: Concept becomes reality

Revolution: Manufacturer of parking systems from Aitrach switches its MultiBase parking systems to an electro-hydraulic synchroniser

Aitrach (jm). Parking of the future is becoming a reality: with the new MultiBase 2072i, Klaus Multiparking GmbH – one of the leading manufacturers of premium parking systems headquartered in Aitrach (Baden-Württemberg) – has now developed the first intelligent MultiBase parking systems that are equipped with the unique electro-hydraulic synchroniser. It can either be controlled using the operating device or a smartphone.

"There was already an enormous amount of interest when we presented the iParker as a concept at Bau 2015. The fact that the concept has now become reality pleases me all the more. Our design engineers have achieved something truly spectacular. We're now demonstrating in practice that intelligent home automation also works for parking," says Michael Groneberg, Managing Director of Klaus Multiparking GmbH.

With the MultiBase 2072i, Klaus Multiparking is revolutionising the technical design of parking systems, as the electro-hydraulic synchroniser developed by the company completely replaces the former mechanical synchroniser. As a result of the innovation, the weight of each parking system is reduced by up to 200 kg.

Since the new design dispenses with lubricants, oils and a large proportion of wearing parts such as toothed wheels or bearing bushes, the iParker systems are more eco-friendly, lower-maintenance and generally more economical than conventional systems. By comparison with ordinary parking systems, less energy is required per system for production and also of course for transportation.

With the new MultiBase 2072i, Klaus Multiparking GmbH once again sees itself as a trendsetter that is already offering the technology and requirements of the future today. The MultiBase 2072i is the first parking system of its kind that offers such a wide variety of parking options, and now even with a pit depth of 2.30 metres. "Modern vehicles are becoming ever larger and heavier. The trend is towards having a second SUV, and it goes without saying that it must be possible to also park this in the parking system with ease," explains Thomas Baumgärtel, Sales Manager of Klaus Multiparking. The MultiBase 2072i is therefore also ideally equipped for heavy weights: a single platform has space for vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.0 tons, and with a parking space width of 2.70 metres, it is still easy to get out of XXL high-performance cars as well. If the MultiBase 2072i is designed as a double platform, it accommodates vehicles with a weight of up to 2.6 tons, and the total width in this case is 5.40 metres.

Technologically speaking as well, Klaus Multiparking offers parking of the future: the new electro-hydraulic synchroniser system features intelligent sensor technology which continuously measures the position of the parking platforms and sends balancing signals to a control unit. As Technical Manager Norbert Fäßler explains, “Should the platforms be at risk of tilting, the hydraulic flow in the lifting device is readjusted by valves in a fraction of a second. That way the platforms stay horizontal at all times”. Compared to the ordinary mechanical synchroniser system, the new generation parking systems are more durable and even more reliable. As a result, it's not only residential property companies, owners' associations and investors seeking to offer intelligent parking solutions for their tenants who benefit: “As a provider, it makes sense for us to exploit the potential of digital technology for parking as well as housing. That way we project an innovative and forward-looking image. Development continues, and the aim is to stay ahead of the competition," says Michael Groneberg.

For Klaus Multiparking GmbH, the realisation of the intelligent iParker generation is the dawn of a new era, since the company will now also extend the revolutionary concept to other parking system models as the next step.
