KLAUS Multiparking – A new sparkle with shiny new technology

For nearly six decades, the name KLAUS Multiparking has stood for the development, production and service of parking systems. That systems need to be replaced over such a long period of time is to be expected. Obsolete technology, corrosion damage and general wear and tear are the reasons for this. But the underground garages themselves often need to be thoroughly renovated regularly due to severe damage from chloride penetration and carbonization. For renovations like these, all parking systems usually have to be removed and stored. When these systems are significantly worn or outdated, reinstallation usually doesn‘t make economic sense. The ExChange systems are designed for just such a situation.

So it happened that the more than 40-year-old underground garage used by two neighboring buildings in Munich’s beloved quarter Altstadt-Lehel was past its prime. As part of the structural concrete renovation of the garage, the old KLAUS Multiparker was initially removed and disposed of. After completion of the renovations, the new parking system ExChange 2002 with the EasyWalk platform surface could be installed; the previous 20 parking spaces have been available again since then.

The ExChange system was expressly developed for the replacement of second and third-generation KLAUS parking systems (build years 1971 – approx. 1985). With it, KLAUS Multiparking offers owners of decades-old underground garages a solution for bringing the systems up to the newest technical standards – without cost-intensive system renovations with special parts.
