KLAUS Multiparking - The convenience of semi-automatic parking in the Hanseatic metropolis

The Klostertor 1 building in Hamburg near the main railway station is truly eye-catching. In addition to the triangular floor plan, the concavely curved facades facing the Münzviertel district also contribute to its iconic appearance.

When it was built, it was also important for there to be adequate parking at “Klostertor 1”. The parking spaces are generously sized, making it easy to get in and out of the vehicle. In addition, each entrance ramp is equipped with an automatically controlled vertical gate. This prevents unauthorised intrusion with the intention of theft or vandalism; at the same time, the parking spaces cannot be accessed while the platforms are moving in the facilities.

The “TrendVario” model was chosen for the parking systems. This made it possible to create a parking capacity of 19 spaces where there would normally only be room for ten vehicles. A total of three control options are available for the semi-automatic systems: directly at the terminals via RFID chip or conveniently from inside the vehicle, using either a remote control or app control on a smartphone.
